System Settings

The device's System Settings allow for advanced configuration of your device. Select from the following fields:

Basic Settings​

Basic settings can be easily configured and reset.

  • Brightness: Change the brightness of your device's display.
  • Volume: Raise or lower your device's volume.

Advanced Settings​

Accessibility​

Adjust the display of your device for convenience:

  • Font size: Change the font size of the device UI. Includes Tiny, Small, and Regular.
  • Dark mode: Change the device display to night mode.

Encrypt My Data​

Toggle on or off. When Encrypt My Data is toggled on, the device scrambles the geographic and chronological data attached to all files including on your external memory card (but still allows the information to be accessed directly from your Bird-Boy device). This also removes identifying metadata from your photos and recordings. This will prevent you from reliably sharing Adventures with others. If you intend to share data from your memory card, you should toggle this off first.

Reset Factory Settings​

Resetting your device to factory settings is irreversible. This process will wipe all additional files saved directly to your device's memory. Ensure all important information is backed up via your external memory card or on a local device such as your desktop computer.
